Opening & Installation view

"Monumental Vacancies" is a dual exhibition hold in Seoul in August 2008. In this series of watercolor, I employ diverse signs derived from military architecture, symbols linked to the colonisation history and pop culture. These watercolour diagrams are not to talk about a single event but to create an opened structure, which allows viewers to project their own perspectives from their experiences. In the other word, the idea is to create a permanent transaction between our recognitions and symbols, which is continually changing with time.
